Regression work, which addresses past experiences, childhood periods, and certain events that have left a mark on a person's life, can be considered an awareness practice that helps individuals evaluate themselves and their experiences from a different perspective.
I have gathered the most frequently asked questions from my clients about regression in this article. If you want to learn about regression sessions, understand how the process unfolds, and find answers to the questions you're curious about, the information below may guide you.
1. When does the effect of a regression session begin?
The topic addressed in a regression session and the person's experience can vary from one another. While some people experience certain awarenesses during the session, for others, changes in thoughts and emotions may become more apparent after the session.
For this reason, it is not possible to give a single time frame that applies to everyone regarding when the effects of regression work will be felt.
A person's experience may vary depending on the topic addressed, their personal history, and their approach to the process. Some awarenesses emerge immediately, while others may become clearer over time.
What matters is that the process unfolds in line with the person's own experience and needs.
2. How many sessions are needed for regression?
The question of how many times a regression session should be done does not have the same answer for everyone.
Each person's life experiences, the topic they address, and their expectations from the process are different. For this reason, while some people prefer to work with a single session, others may prefer to proceed with multiple sessions.
For example:
- Some topics can be addressed in a single regression session.
- During a session, connections with other issues in the person's life may be noticed.
- Working on different aspects of certain topics at different times may be preferred.
In the first meeting, a more general roadmap for the process can be created by evaluating the person's needs and the topic they want to work on. The following steps can then be shaped according to the person's experience.
3. How does a regression session take place?
How regression takes place is one of the most frequently asked questions by people curious about this work.
In regression sessions, space is created for the person to approach their past experiences, emotions, and certain events that have remained in their mind from a different perspective.
In my sessions, the process unfolds in line with the person's beliefs and spiritual approach. Divine guidance, angels, and faith in God's healing power form an important part of the work.
For this reason, it is possible to approach the regression experience not merely as a mental process, but together with the person's inner world and spiritual perspective.
Each person's experience is unique. While some people experience strong emotions or awarenesses during the session, others may experience the process in a calmer way.
4. Can someone who doesn't believe in past lives undergo regression?
I don't believe in past lives, can I have a regression session?
Yes. Regression work is not limited solely to the concept of past lives.
A person's childhood in this life, experiences from past years, relationships, and events that have left a mark on them can also be the subject of the work.
For this reason, belief in past lives does not have to be considered a prerequisite for everyone in order to have a regression experience.
How the work is approached can be shaped according to the person's own beliefs, approach, and the topic they wish to work on.
5. Can regression be applied to children?
When it comes to working with children regarding regression, the child's age, developmental level, and current circumstances must be particularly taken into consideration.
Any work done with children should be evaluated differently from work done with adults. The child's safety and best interests should always be the priority.
For this reason, if you are considering regression or a similar practice for your child, it is important to first assess whether it is appropriate for the child's age and specific situation.
For concerns involving children, consult a pediatrician or a qualified child and adolescent mental health professional first. A spiritual assessment is not a substitute for their assessment or any necessary treatment.
6. What topics can regression address?
Regression work can be undertaken to gain awareness about a person's life experiences, emotions, thoughts, and certain recurring life cycles.
For example, a person may want to understand and evaluate from a different perspective;
- the effect of a past event on themselves,
- recurring relationship patterns,
- certain fears or anxieties,
- beliefs they feel are limiting them,
- certain recurring cycles in their life
An important point must be particularly noted:
Regression is not a medical diagnosis or treatment method and does not replace medical treatment administered by a doctor.
If you have a health complaint or illness, you should consult your doctor first. Regression work can be considered for personal awareness purposes without replacing the medical process.
7. If everyone can connect with angels, why should I work with a professional guide?
From a spiritual perspective, I believe that everyone has the potential to connect with divine guidance.
However, for those who wish to work alongside a guide, receiving support from an experienced professional can help the process proceed within a certain structure.
I have chosen this field as a life purpose.
I have been working in the field of personal development since 2006, and professionally with my clients since 2012.
Thanks to the experience I have gained over the years, I focus on evaluating the topic the client wants to address in a more holistic way, guiding the flow of the session, and creating a working space suited to the person's needs.
You can think of this through the example of a chef:
We can all cook. But mastery is the experience gained over the years, knowing the different ingredients, and knowing how to use them at the right time.
In regression work as well, experience is important for understanding the process and creating a working space suited to the person.

This article describes a personal spiritual approach, not clinical psychotherapy or a method of verifying past events. Research discusses false-memory risks in hypnotic regression and guided imagery. Images and feelings arising during a session should not be treated as proof that an event actually occurred.
